The AZ AWARDS is AZURE’s international design competition recognizing the world’s best projects, products and ideas. Entries are juried by a multidisciplinary panel of industry experts. The winners of the annual international competition established by the AZ magazine will receive commemorative prizes, and students will also receive cash (in 2023 – 5000 Canadian dollars). In the competition there are categories dedicated to the furniture and lighting design: Furniture Design, Furniture Systems + Collections, Lighting Fixtures and even Lighting Installations.
The AZ Awards is a unique opportunity for architects, landscape architects, designers, students, clients and manufacturers, to receive the international exposure and acknowledgement that their exceptional work deserves
Guidelines
- Entries must be submitted and received via the online entry system by 11:59 pm EST on February 25, 2023
- All images must be jpg format, at least 300 dpi resolution.
- Project titles, descriptions and images must not contain the name or logo of the designer, architect, firm, company, client or manufacturer.
Eligibility 2023
The 2023 AZ Awards will be open to:
- → Designers and design firms from all disciplines
- → Architects, landscape architects and architectural firms
- → Post-secondary students enrolled in design and architecture programs in 2021
- → Clients and manufacturers
- → Projects must be completed on or before December 31, 2022
- → Products must be prototyped or in production
- → Concepts must have been developed or presented for the first time in 2022 (This criterion refers only to entries in the CONCEPTS categories.)
